Description
in2phonos Store We offer for your bidding pleasure this very rare Victor Victrola model 107. This player has the lowest production number of any Arabic numbered Victrola ever produced. Actually based on production numbers, 1008 crank model + 13 electric for a total of 1021 ever made, so in reality how many have survived? Not Many I would guess, in over 25 years of collecting I have never seen another. This machine had the lowest number made of any Victrola (non orthophonic) with the exception of the Victrola XX (500) and the Victrola XIII (662), either of which will cost you in the many if not tens of thousands of dollars to own, provided you can find one. PLEASE READ THIS DESRIPTION CAREFULLY AS I WANT NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS. PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS OR PHOTOS. This player is complete with the exception of the following, the reproducer and the motorboard, and maybe a couple of screws. And yes the air dampener lid support is there and functioning. The motorboard is the wooden board that the motor attaches to, for some reason it is not there, the motor and all the attachments, speed indicator, on/ off, etc are all there, just the board is missing. I do not know why, this is the way I got it quite a number of years ago. The cabinet is in fairly good condition, the finish is slightly dirty and slightly alligatored but in restorable shape, now for the damage, I want to be thorough, with this portion as I want you to know what you are getting, since I am asking a fair price for this player. The bottom left door was knocked off at some point with some small loss of wood (where the screw goes), as is evident in the photo, any good woodsmith can repair this. The door is still off but is there along with the hinges. There is also a small piece of wood missing in the front left upright along with some dents in the upright, again in the photo. The door that is off, the raised panel is lifting this can be glued down with out issue, the panel is discolored as apparently it was subjected to some moisture. A good restorer can also make this go away. The panel on the back is also doing the same, again simple repair with glue. I would say that is the extent of the serious damage, there might be the usual bumps and dents, and possibly some additional loose veneer, but those were the most obvious that I felt needed to be mentioned. It has always been my intention to restore this rare machine, but since I have so many others that require my attention I figured I would share this rare machine with the rest of the collectors out there. I wouldn’t take much to get this baby up and running and make it the center piece of your collection. I try to describe items to the best of my ability as to maintain a positive feedback. So if you have any questions or if you need additional images please contact me ASAP as I am usually not online everyday. IF YOU WISH TO SEE THIS OR ANY OF MY ITEMS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE THEY ARE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION, PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR DIRECTIONS AND HOURS. Please read the following. I would prefer to have this picked up here, so I am listing it as pick up only, I can build a crate, but that would be VERY EXPENCIVE, and would be done on a cost + basis, I DO NOT HAVE A SHIPPING COMPANY FOR SOMETHING THAT SIZE. IF YOU DO AND WANT TO HAVE IT PICKED UP HERE PLEASE E-MAIL ME TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS BEFORE BIDDING. Now for the fine print: All items are sold as is. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM. It can be shipped most anywhere in the world that permits it. Out of country bidders: please contact me to make sure you can either pick it up here or shipment can be arranged. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSING. I ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING FORMS OF PAYMENT Personal Check, Money Order, and Pay Pal. The ONLY method of payment that ships immediately are US Postal Money Orders, ALL others must clear my bank acct. before shipment is made (usually 3-5 business days). We reserve the right to refuse any bid, and to relist any item should eBay go down with in 2 hours of auction closing time. Good Luck and Happy eBaying
