I have been commissioned to sell a Pair of ORIGINAL VINTAGE yes VINTAGE ( not some coco joes junk ) Hand Carved Extrememly RARE Lava Stone Statues of Hawaiian Warriors or they might even be of the Famous King Kamehameha. This pair of Statues is Guaranteed to be Original Authentic to my description meaning I guarantee tthey are OLD HAND CARVED LAVA HAWAIIAN STATUES. I do not know the exact age but I do know it is BEFORE the 1920s. The story I got from the family I am listing these for is that during the 15 years they lived in Hawaii they befriended a Elderly Local girl in Kailua Hawaii. She was some descendent of the original royal family in Hawaii and had great amazing really old Hawaiian artifacts and tiki statues and all kinds of Hawaiian heritage vintage items in her home handed down over time. She loved the family that is selling these so much she decided to give them a gift for years of friendship and for taking care of her when she was sick so they were given this pair of Statues and was told these were given to the 85yr old lady by her Grandfather saying the Hawaiian Warrior will protect her and that these were very old Statues. Over the years one of the statues got a broken ankle and had a metal rod put inside to fix the damage as a repair and the two statues were attached to wooden Bases in the 1950s or early 1960s as originally they did not have wooden bases. Each Statues is a Work of Art and shows True Hawaiian Craftsmanship being carved from the very course lava rock. Each Statue measures 10 3/4 inches tall from the feet to the top of the Ceremonial RED and GOLD Helmet. Each of these amazing OLD Statues has a red and gold square in front to cover the pelvic region and the helmet is also done in red and gold. You can see the small tiny holes throughout the statues that is part of real Lava Stone and you can see the hand carved etched fingers and toe lines as well as the facial features. Each Statues stands in a Warrior Stance with one hole in the hand for a metal rod with red tip to slide down into. I have both Metal Spears but think originally they had cloth or hair around the tip to make them more ceremonial but can't be sure as I have spent hours researching these online to find NOTHING that is even close. The Statues are made before 1920 and could be 1850s-1920s by the way they look but I guarantee them to be older than 1920s. Again the bases they stand on are newer being from the 1950s or 1960s. These statues might of came from an original hawaiian palace or Temple as the original owners had royal bloodlines. This is the Nicest ORIGINAL EXAMPLE of TRUE HAWAIIANA Statues ever offered on Ebay. The family has been going through some rough medical problems and as a last resort decided to sell these treasures. We could not set a Value since there is NOTHING even close to as old or as Rare ever been sold on ebay or that I could find on the Net. To be honest this pair belongs in a Museum or in the most advanced of collections.
