From my understanding these were bought in the late 1940's- early 1950's in Italy and shipped back to the USA. They are lamp bases, I suspect they have been turned into figurine statues and have had the cords removed. They are accompanied with separate bases that the figurines sit on. All holes for cords are intact. It looks like the cords were never applied and these were used as statues only and not lamps. Don't know for sure- but either way they are very impressive.  I have to say the winner of these figurine lamps will not be disappointed- They are truly some of the finest pieces of art to ever be produced in Italy.  GIRL FIGURINE: She stands 2feet-2inches alone, on her base she is a total of 2feet-7inches. She is about 81/2-9 inches at her widest. She weighs a total of 13 pounds. She is in mint condition with no cracks, fractures,chips, crazing, or anything. All flowers are in perfect condition.
