The original base plate & even the original screw for the base plate is present. All of the paint is original in all respects. There is no touchup. There are no cracks, no chips, & no repairs. The bank is in smooth operational condition. This is an excellent example of a Punch and Judy that is in somewhat better condition than the average example normally encountered.This bank was patented on July 15, 1884 & also on July 22, 1884. Also the design patent was registered in England. The bank was designed by Charles Shepard & Peter Adams. The bank was manufactured by the Shepard Hardware Co. of Buffalo, N. Y. The bank shows some wear. The precise lustrous & appealing condition of the bank is clearly shown in the pics.
