15th Century Medieval Gothic Joust Armour Will post worldwide, please contact me for a postage price ****** the postage prices listed are an estimate only ***** You must contact me for a postage price to your state or country. Measurements are: I am 176cm tall / just under 5'11" Head is 59cm / 23 1/4" Chest is 104cm / 41" Waist is 89cm / 35" Upper thigh is 58cm / 22 3/4" Inner leg is 82.5cm / 32 1/2" Outer leg hip to floor is 108cm / 42 1/2" The harness is copied from an original in a private collection in Austria. This harness appears in the Gerry Embleton/John Howe- The Medieval Soldier. I had a sallet with it that I sold and instead had the Great Sallet made for it. This helm was made by Alex Schiebner. It has a handmade period liner sewn in. It is based on helms shown in the Beauchamp Paegent and a helm in the Royal Armouries. They are a rare helm and I only know of 2 other repros in the world at this time. It comes with a period arming coat in black linen that I had made. The harness was made by Jiri Lucius (http://www.luciferarmoury.com/index.php?lang=eng). The greaves are not quite right and I have modified them a bit. The harness was used for jousting. It has some scratchs, the odd shallow dent and the faulds are a bit twisted from being in a war saddle. This is a working harness so does show some wear. I am very particular about my gear and I have kept it clean and polished and once a year it gets pulled apart and refurbished. Still, being a working harness it does show some wear. Just so you know it is not pristine. The whole harness and helm are mild steel. The breastplate is 2-2.5mm, the back plate 1.6mm, the helm is mainly 2-2.5mm, the leg harness is 1.6mm, the left arm and couter is 2mm, the right arm is 1.6mm, the gauntlets are 1.2mm. There is a flat ring, wedge riveted mail standard for the throat that I added the leather liner and straps to. I hand made the brass buckles for this. It has an arret that I made for it as well. For more pics of harness and Arret, please contact me for the links.(I have taken the heel plates off the sabatons) There is also a crest that will go with the helm with real pearls, it is shown on a different helm here and the plumes are NOT included. If anyone has any further questions please don't hesitate to e-mail me. Please contact me for postage prices for in Australia and overseas. Postage prices will include the cost of insurance and will vary greatly from country to country and state to state. Note: Due to the high fees incurred by paypal for an item of this value, I would prefer direct deposit or international transfer if overseas, unless you are willing to pay the additional paypal fees, which may be quite high. Also listed is a 15th century windlass sword and a 15th century ladies gown, be sure to check them out.
