He is famous mostly for his work with cats but also photographed children, other animals and gardens.His original and recent photographs are auctioned up to $300.00 each. I am offering a vintage lot of 7 that cannot be purchased anywhere and are very rare. I also contacted Mr. Chandoha as he does have a Web Site and asked if he would authenticate these photos. He emailed and stated that these photos are authentic and the numbers on the back of each are authentic as well. Most of these original photographs are slightly yellowed. The original owner kept these photographs tucked into an album, flat and away from light. They were not displayed openly only stored, however there is a slight yellowing of the black and white photos. Also, a couple of them have a very tiny miter of one or two corners but does not go into the picture portion only the white frame portion.Dimensions of each picture: 8 X 10 inches. The pictures you have are indeed vintage silver ferrotyped photographs. They were made in the 40's and 50's when I was photographing cats exclusively early in my career. Later I branched out to include dogs and still later all animals. Then in the 70' s I further expanded in the the wide area of gardens and everything that grows or is included in them.
