Description
COLLECTIBLE!! James' one-time making of a demo with his high school group "The Flying Machine". Unfinished & unreleased. one-of-a-kind. This unique demo album was (to be?) promoted and marketed by "The Jubilee Group" and pressed on a "Euphoria" label 33-1/3 rpm album in 1967. The group disbanded prior to it's finish/release. The record is 12" vinyl in MINT CONDITION and fully playable. Side 'est-2A' has 4 songs yet 5 bandwidths of seperate music. The songs are: "Night Owl" (2:36) sung by a young James Taylor,"Brighten Your Night With My Day" (4:10) sung by JT,"Kootch's Song"((3:11)sung by Danny Kortchmer,"Knockiin' 'Round The Zoo", ((3:17)sung by DK. Side "est-2B" has 3 songs listed, yet 4 rings of seperate recordings .The songs on this side are: "Rainy Day Man"((3:07)sung by JT,"Knockin' 'Round The Zoo"(4:48) sung by JT,"Something's Wrong" (2:58) sung by JT. All tunes were written by James Taylor. The extra space was filled in on each side by untitled instrumental jam sessions in order to have enough to press the album for a demo. The coverjacket itself is all white with a PENCILLED sketch of the block lettering to be used for the title. The pencilling along the rightside in the rough-sketch border pencilling lines reads "Bum title man" and "be sure to add the word 'original' to the title. This is James' writing. The title  stood as "James Taylor and the Flying Machine"  1967 According to the sketchwork, it was to be "James Taylor and the Original Flying Machine 1967" It never came to be published. ("...sweet drreams and Flying Machines in pieces on the ground....--Fire & Rain---") This is the only one in the world that I know of.
