Gazo San Juan Bautista Grandfather Clock Rare, Massive, Hand Carved by Gazo Family Clocks c.1985 Start Price USD 25,600.00 Current Price USD 25,600.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, July 24, 2008 End Time Sunday, August 03, 2008 Location Napa, CA See more about 'Gazo San Juan Bautista Grandfather Clock' Description This Listing Is for a 1985 Gazo "San Juan Bautista" Grandfather Clock.  It is in great condition with maybe 1 - 2 years usage on the original movement.  We are the original owners and have decided to part with this massive time-piece.   There are very few of these clocks in the world.  In 1989 we were given a written appraisal for $15,000 to $20,000.  The clock stands 9'-3" tall, 34" wide, and 22" deep, approximately 175 lbs.  It has a beautiful intricately hand carved, walnut stained, alderwood case.  The dials are porcelin with brass surround.  The movement is made by a German company called 'Urgus.' (see attached photos)  Movements are still available, however, the original movement has very little use on it.  The hand carvings are very nicely done.  This would make a great clock for any larger home foyer, winery, or institution.  We have searched the internet for the same clock for sale and have not found any making this clock even more rare than previously thought.
