Description
The World’s Most Exclusive Pencil: Limited Edition Perfect Pencil in White Gold with Diamonds The pencil, a symbol of naturalness, understatement, and versatility, is a source of inspiration for authors, musicians, artists, and anyone who loves to write. The importance of the pencil throughout history is underscored by the development of the “Perfect Pencil” as part of the exclusive Graf von Faber-Castell collection of writing instruments. The “Perfect Pencil” is designed to meet modern needs while paying homage to historical pencil models. The “Perfect Pencil” is characterized by elegant wood to form the pencil and an extender cap with a built-in sharpener and eraser. The cap protects the lead from breaking when the pencil is not being used for writing. To mark Faber-Castell’s 240th Anniversary, in 2001 the Limited Edition Perfect Pencil was introduced using materials such as 18-carat white gold and diamonds to enhance the luxurious nature of the pencil. The extender cap features the Count’s coat-of-arms below which are three diamonds that symbolize the third millennium. Designated the world’s most exclusive pencil, only 99 pieces of the Limited Edition Perfect Pencil were produced. The pencil is #56 out of 99. Faber-Castell is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and sellers of high-quality products for writing, colouring, and creative design – a famous name all over the world. The international group of companies was originally founded over 240 years ago (in 1761) as a pencil factory in Stein near Nuremberg. It is thus one of world’s oldest industrial companies; it is now headed by Count Anton Wolfgang von Faber-Castell, the 8th generation of his family to do so. This item has a retail value of $9500.00.
