D’Alton Holder / D'Holder has been hand making knives since 1966 and was elected to the Knife Makers Hall of Fame in 2003. He has been one of the biggest influences in hand made knives during the last 30 years and has served two terms as President of the Knife Makers Guild. The D'Holder My Knife may be said to define D’Holder Custom Knives. D designed and made the first MY Knife in 1972 for his own use. The My Knife was the first custom knife to use Amber as a handle material, and it is the most recognized custom knife in the world. The D’Holder My Knife has undergone some minor changes over time; however it remains one model that D cannot make enough of to this day.  I have been fortunate to own several of Dee's knives over the years and this is the first set like this one that I have ever owned. As a matter of fact, I have never even seen another " My Knife Horseman Twin Set " anywhere! Have You? UPDATE: A  MOST  KNOWLEDGEABLE COLLECTOR AND FRIEND OF D JUST INFORMED ME THAT THIS SET IS ONE OF ONLY 2 EVER MADE. THANK YOU SIR! The blade configuration may vary from knife to knife ( most are Drop Point ), but the MY Knife in this set is a Clip Point Blade. The My Knife in this " HorseMan Set " measures in at  8 ½” overall length and has a Hollow Ground, ATS34, Mirror Polished blade with the length of 4 1/8 ". The Deep Electro Etched Stamp reads "D'holder / PEORIA, AZ.  No two knives are likely to be exactly alike but the Handle configuration, Pommel ,Guard and other particulars on the Horse Hoof Pick Knife in this set is a Mirror Image,,, same as the My Knife.
