Description
This two pieces set - Santa and Snowman - is a museum quality piece of art which will be a great addition to the serious collection or can be an unforgettable gift for anyone who appreciates art. This breathtaking Santa was painted by one the most talented Russian artist - Galena Russ.The Santa is painted all the way around with more seven different personages, and it frolicking with characters. Every child on the picture has a different expression on his/her face and the picture has many small details. The painting is really fine. The tiny one-hair-brush details are hardly visible on the photos. On the front of the Santa’s coat you see tree little kids and Santa. The two girls are dancing and the little boy is trying to get the attention of one of the girls. He also wants to dance with them. The Santa is holding a lantern and looking at the kids He is so happy.On the back of Santa’s coat you can also see a three kids. Two boys are playing on traditional Russian instruments - balalaika and accordion (garmoshka). The girl is dancing. The music is so beautiful even rabbits, birds and squirrels came to listen to it. The girl on this picture is wearing a traditional Russian scarf with roses. All the other kids are wearing a traditional Russian coat (caftan) and shoes (valenkie). All the kids and Santa on both pictures are very happy. They all are smiling and they’ll make you smile back when you see this Santa. The Snowman is so cute. He is wearing a vest, a funny polka dot tie and a belt. On his head we can see a bucket. He has a carrot nose too!!!!!! The Snowman is a great addition to the Santa. The Santa and the Snowman are done in water-color and has a matte finish. The paint is very soft and warm looking. This is NOT a mass-production piece, which you can find a lot on the internet or on e-Bay. The Santa and the Snowman had been signed by the artist. Each piece is made out of solid piece of wood (Linden tree). The carved work is also unique. This is truly a collectible investment piece. Central piece for any fine collection.
