They have been framed and mounted since 1992. Darrell Van Citters worked as an animator for both Disney and Warner Bros. then went on to create his own company, Renegade Animation Inc., which produced these commercials. The cels are not reproductions or a part of some numbered series. These are the actual cels used in the “Hare Jordan” commercial. They were acquired directly from a production company executive. They are not signed because they’re the real deal and very fragile. It is extremely rare that animation cels survive after production. These are in excellent condition. Air Jordan joined forces with “Hare Jordan” to defeat four no-goodniks in a nutty basketball game that paid homage to (or liberally borrowed from?) the best gags of the classic Warner Brothers cartoons of the 1940's. Best bit: Bugs dons women's clothing and a blond wig, drawing appreciative wolf whistles from the bullies. He holds up a sign: "Silly, aren't they?"
