Base was a 1993 Porsche 968 ClubSport or CS. Never used as owner was offered seat in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. Look under 997GT3Cup for this other racecar also for sale at end of season (no 16 car, november 16). Car was setup as 968 turbo RS (improved on factory specs with, amongst others a newly developed and patented dry sump), but the engine was not put together yet. All the turbo engine parts plus another engine block are with the car. The present engine in the car is a fully redone CS enigine with 267 HP (going any further is not very sensible as the variocam starts being counterproductive at this point, benchtested) which was put together for track going testing purposes. The car was originalle set up for the Dutch Supercar Challenge, a pure HP versus weight championship. Car now weighs 1130 kilo's, but can be trimmed further (if so seen fit). However as the engine has a lay out of 450 HP and 580 nM torque and when put in the car is faster the the present day GT3Cup car who would need cutting away more right away? The car certainly looks A1 now. May parts like the dash, extended frontlip and real 997 GT3RS rear wing (fully adjustable) are the real carbon thing. Doors, frontwings, front hood are GRP and windows (except front, not allowed under FIA rules) are Lexan5. Painting was done to show standards in Porsche black. The speed it develops can be done away with with the best brake package available to-day (next to buying a carbon fibre race brake package at over USD 30.000). It uses the Brembo 8 pod (Lambo Gallardo/Audi RS6) brake calipers in front and Porsches in the back. Balance is through a full race Tilton pedal box with built in balance bars. Wheels are 18 inch, 8 & 10inch wide leightweight factory Cup2 as the car was not widened allthough a GT2 fender widening package is available. Tyres with the car are Dunlops slicks and wet 245 fronts and 265 rears. Driver position is DTM style, all the way back for weight distribution, seat is fixed and pedal box moves. Gearlever is brought bak as well as Sparco steering wheel. Seat is the new Sparco with side head protection which out-sits the Recaro, even Porsche has admitted. Belts are new from the GT3 cup car, which are the only ones in the world from which a driver can easily adjust the side belts himself after sitting down. The (extended) safety cage is from the factory drawings, done from leightweight cromoly and fully FIA certified. Fitter and welder were specially selected. The roadholding package was a co-op between A(dvanced) S(uspension) T(echnology) and Havik RS and was specifically designed for the car. AST will sponsor the car by doing testwork and further development is you so wish. It has there latest 4 way adjustable shocks with remote reservoirs. Springs are H&R. Sway bars are Porsche M030 with upgraded mountings. Front A-arms are cromoly and everything in front and rear is fulle adjustable unibolted. The shocks are mounted in extra strong, leightweight, adjustable camberplates on top and connected via a Havik RS flat cambertruss. AST also delivered the airjacks which are built into the car, a stainless cupholder with the connection built into the right side of the car (opposite from the tank inlet on the other side). Alle lines are leightweight and professional, many from Aeroquip, where applicable. Fire extinguisher is also Sparco, 4 litres as in international FIA standards, and semi automatic. Battery is solid state racing leightweight (no fluids) and has outside connector built in (just in case). More specs available. Car is currently in the Netherlands at Beekautoracing, The Hague. Price is subject to negotiation and in Euro's only. The dollar is at the moment 1.56 dollar for one Euro. Asking price for 968 turbo RS is Euro 87.500 Everything else is negotiable.
