From BETTYANDBUSTER, specializing in Rare and Collector Grade (C8 Excellent to C10 Mint) lunchboxes and thermoses: This is a classic 1967 "SUPERMAN" Metal Lunchbox Set. This is one of the most desirable of the 1960's lunchboxes, and has been steadily increasing in value along with the 1954 Superman lunchbox. It was manufactured by "King Seeley Thermos" (KST). Both pieces in this set are in gorgeous Near Mint condition. The box is super bright and glossy (paint still has the wet look and feel), and the graphics on all 6 external sides display beautifully. The inside of the box is still very white, and includes the original wire thermos holder. There is just some minor wear to the red borders. The thermos is Near Mint Plus...it has equally bright and glossy paint, a very clean seam and a shiny bottom. It is complete with the original glass liner, stopper and red cup. The current book value for this set in Near Mint to Mint condition is $1,325 (Toys & Prices 2008 by Karen O'Brien). This is a true investment grade Superman set...don't miss out.
