1920 s ROMAN GAS PUMP, Wayne, Original, Complete, Nice Wayne Model 492 - GRAVITY FLOW VISIBLE PUMP Start Price USD 150.00 Current Price USD 8,100.00 Time Left - Bid Count 17 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, July 16, 2008 End Time Saturday, July 26, 2008 Location Spokane, Washington See more about '1920 s ROMAN GAS PUMP, Wayne, Original, Complete, Nice' Description Up for bid is this NICE 1920's  ROMAN GAS PUMP, Wayne Model 492, Gravity-Flow Visible, Complete -  All original, with the exception of one (1) of the access doors on the base, which had been missing & was replaced with a reproduction door (pictured alone and the yellow paint is a little brighter on that particular door)… the other two access doors are original.  Also, the pump handle is a reproduction, however it was drilled out just like the original… It is good quality & looks like the real thing.  If you have plans to restore the pump… it is nice and straight (no rips or damage to the metal body), and parts are in good condition.  Or, it is nice enough to keep as is.. a great attention-getter.  Someone had repainted the pump at some point in time.  There is a Shell decal on the front (a little worse for wear, but still readable). The Glass Cylinder is original, along with the metal strips inside the cylinder (3 of them) that show measurement for each gallon.The Shell Globe on top, is a reproduction, but I will include it with the pump to complete the Shell look.  Please check out all of the pictures submitted, they give a true visual as to the condition & appearance of this neat old collectible piece of Petroliana.  Very hard to find in this condition.
